Carousel Me En France

My first time in France and I quickly discovered the beauty of carousels. So I took to google to answer my question, why are there so many carousels everywhere in France?! I learned that the carousels were originated in Europe from a game played amongst knights where they would gallop on horses tossing a ball back and forth. It was later developed by Bayol into what we see today.

My favorite carousel was the one that located at my subway stop, Abbesses, to my hotel. As soon as I reached the top of the stairs, it was the first thing I would see and immediately be filled with excitement.

I didn’t get a chance to ride any but that just means I need to find my way back to France and makes sure I ride one!
